SCC has announced two new senior appointments.
Andy Wright has returned as UK commercial director, while Amy Simpson has been promoted to revenue operations director.
Wright has previously spent 18 years in senior positions at SCC before leaving in 2017 to join XMA as commercial director and subsequently chief revenue officer, a role he also held at CDW since March 2024.
Wright, who has 34 years’ experience in reselling and distribution, rejoins SCC to lead the company’s commercial strategy and drive growth and the continued expansion of key partnerships and accounts.
Wright said, “The opportunity to rejoin SCC was timely and something I couldn’t turn down. I spent 18 happy and successful years here and I am looking forward to stepping back into a business that, despite knowing well, has undergone significant transformation in my seven years away. Plenty has happened in that time – from SCC’s £7 million refurbishment of its global headquarters in Birmingham to a global pandemic, and the normal fast-pace of change in technology and customer requirements. There are new challenges and new opportunities ahead that I am excited and motivated to meet.”
Simpson will lead the firm’s RevOps team.
Simpson, who has 17 years’ experience in roles covering account management, partner management, and business development, joined SCC from UKCloud in May 2022 to help deliver growth across new and existing customers, with a focus on sales enablement and transformation.
Adam Clark, chief revenue officer at SCC, said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Andy back into SCC. Andy brings with him a wealth of experience gained at SCC and other major IT companies. Andy knows SCC well having spent almost two decades with the company previously, responsible for achieving significant commercial growth and strengthening SCC’s position as one of the UK’s most successful solutions providers. I look forward to working with Andy again to maximise our position and lead new initiatives and opportunities.
“We also welcome Amy into her new role as revenue operations director. During her time with SCC, Amy has been a driving force behind improving growth opportunities and sales enablement, using data-driven insights to guide strategic decision making. Amy will continue to support the sales team and collaborate with colleagues across SCC to achieve continued and sustainable growth.”
