In interview, the team shared how they are “over the moon” about the win – especially after especially “struggling” during the Covid-19 pandemic period along with many other pubs.
In recent years they have “recovered really well” from the impact of the pandemic and even beat their budget by a “significant amount” last year under the current management.
For the Arrow team, winning the National Sports Pub of the Year 2024 Award was the cherry on top.
“I am very lucky to have such a great manager, and she has built a tremendous staff,” retailer for Marston’s Darren Sturch said.
“We were honoured by being named the best Marston’s sports pub in the UK. Quite a lot of pubs were involved so to get that recognition was excellent. It was a big testament to all the hard work the staff put in and the foundations we set over the last ten years.”
Darren Sturch ended the interview by thanking the team and all of their efforts leading up to winning this prestigious award.
