A group of ex-Big 4 advisors and accountants have set up a new firm which they say will be “bridge the gap between professional services in the UK and UAE”.
Catalyst Advisory has its head office in Derby, but had a distinct East Midlands flavour.
The firm offers suite of services including accountancy and tax compliance, advisory, family office and corporate services.
Mohammad Alimahomend and Ammar Mussa from Leicester-based Syon Tax have teamed up with Auri Basu and Ahmed Osman to form Catalyst. All four have Big 4 experience.
Basu is the new firm’s managing partner.
He said: “Catalyst Advisory has identified a longstanding need for a professional services firm that caters to clients residing in the UK or UAE, with interests in either jurisdiction.
“The firm aims to bridge this gap by offering a partner-led, bespoke service.
“Catalyst Advisory’s approach is straightforward: to bring UK expertise, quality, and standards to the UAE, while being readily available to advise individuals considering a move to the UAE. Having advisors on the ground who share similar values is a key aspect of the service we aim to provide.”
