The Statehouse Investors Protection Unit (SHIPU) hosted a delegation from the United Kingdom and the Dawoodi Bohras Business Group to discuss investment opportunities in Uganda on June 11.
SHIPU in Uganda was established by the country’s president, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, to create a favourable investment environment by protecting investors from corruption and bureaucratic inefficiencies.
Colonel Nakalema, Director of SHIPU, welcomed the delegation led by Jaffer Kapasi, Consul General of Uganda in the Midlands.
The delegation included Zoheir Damanwala from Burhani Construction, Abdeali Jamaly from SMB Trade Centre and Syston Hardware, Murtazabhai Faizi and M Alhussain from Oxford University, Mufaddal Loyeolwala from real estate, and a representative from the Dawoodi Bohras Business Group.
