We have some paw-some news for all you London dog lovers! If you’ve always wished to bring your furry friend along on your well-earned retail therapy sessions, then now you can thanks to these two high street staples that have made their stores welcoming for your pups and doggies.
The Range and Wilko, two of the UK’s favourite home and general merchandise retailers, have officially announced that they’re now dog-friendly in all their stores. So, whether you’re on the hunt for homeware, DIY supplies, or simply fancy a little mooch around, your pooch can now come along for the ride.
Starting last week, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in over 200 stores across the UK. Wilko was the original who paved the way by starting to allow dogs back in 2022, and now with The Range following suit, it’s a trend that’s here to stay.
To celebrate this new leash on life for the UK high street, both brands are running pet-themed promotions with discounts (over 40% off) on essentials like pet food, toys and even doggy pushchairs (yes, those are a thing!).
However, as previously mentioned briefly, there are a few ground rules to follow: dogs must be on a lead at all times, well-mannered, and owners must clean up after them. With these simple guidelines, now separation anxiety-prone pups don’t have to be left at home or in the car, and can em-bark (sorry) on your next shopping adventure.
This is just one of the ways that The Range and Wilkos are enhancing their shopping experience, alongside other measures including a Click & Collect service in as little as an hour.
On social media, the announcement has been met with a paws-itively (I promise to stop, now) enthusiastic reception, with many loyal customers thrilled with the fact that their dogs no longer have to stay at home while they shop. So, grab your furry BFF and get ready for both of you to get your shop on!
