Travel agency team with Nairn base celebrate as they are named top in Scotland at industry awards

A travel agency with a base in Nairn was declared the best in Scotland at a prestigious industry award last week.

Murray Travel, which is also celebrating its first year at the High Street branch in town, won the Top Agency for Scotland award at the Exsus Travel Agent Awards in London on Friday.

The agency was also shortlisted for the Agent Achievement Awards, whose ceremony took place on Thursday last week.

Director Sarah Murray said the team was delighted with the result.

She said: “We feel very honoured. It’s really nice to be recognised among so many great travel agents.”

In May, Murray Travel secured a place among the Top 50 agencies in the UK, as well as being ranked among the top three agencies in Scotland at the annual TTG Top 50 Awards.

In the past year, the agency has booked in almost 700 customers and prides itself for the in-person support offered at the Nairn branch.
