Ready-to-serve (RTS) brand The Drinks Bureau has partnered with Uber Boats, WHSmith and airport terminals to make its canned cocktails available for UK travellers.

The Drinks Bureau Tinnies
The Drinks Bureau’s canned cocktails can be enjoyed on a boat ride on The Thames

Available now on 21 Uber Boats by Thames Clippers and in 57 WHSmith stores at train stations and airports across the UK, The Drinks Bureau ‘tinnies’ offer people a chance to enjoy ‘first-class bar-quality cocktails’ as they travel.

The cocktails are also available at Uber Boat’s new bar at Embankment Pier, Clipper Lounge.

The Drinks Bureau’s cocktail range includes the Spicy Margarita, Espresso Martini, Passion Fruit Martini and the new Lychee Martini.  The cocktails are available in 150ml cans and offered at 10% ABV.

“Travelling has never tasted so good,” said Frankie Snobel, founder of The Drinks Bureau. “We are super excited to have our delicious canned cocktails sold nationwide in train stations, airports and on the Thames.  I’ve always championed travel tinnies, so it makes me smile knowing that The Drinks Bureau will now be bringing cocktail joy to people on-the-go.”

The brand’s move into travel retail will cover 57 key WHSmith outlets across the UK, including 47 train stations and 10 airport terminals, including London Heathrow. WHSmith train station locations include London Victoria, Waterloo, Euston, Paddington, Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street, Leeds City, and York.

Mike Tyler, WHSmith travel buyer, commented: “When I discovered The Drinks Bureau’s cocktails, we moved quickly to get them into our fridges. We’re seeing increased customer demand for bar-quality RTDs, and The Drinks Bureau’s colourful cans deliver on taste and really stand out in-store.”

The Drinks Bureau launched its cocktails last month in the on-trade. In addition to the travel locations, the cocktails are available in select Greene King and Belhaven pubs nationwide and directly from online retailers such as Amazon. The six-pack retails for £19.99 (US$26).

At the upcoming The Spirits Business Awards 2024, The Drinks Bureau is a nominee in the Speciality (Low & No /Liqueurs / Pre-Mixed / Other) category.
