Atom Group’s That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) has launched a cocktail competition in the UK, open to everyone from home mixologists to retailers.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company Canadian Corn Whisky
Competitors are invited to create their best Canadian Corn Whisky cocktail

The competition, Boutique-y VS The World, is the first cocktail competition that welcomes retailers, influencers, bartenders and home mixologists to create a cocktail using the brand’s eight-year-old Canadian Corn Whisky.

Points will be awarded for the serve itself, its drinkability, the creativity of the ingredients, the garnish, the name and the story behind it.

The winner will work with Boutique-y’s head of whisky, Sam Simmons, to bottle their own whisky, including selecting the cask and directing the label design.

The winner’s whisky will be available exclusively from online retailer Master of Malt, which is part of Atom Group.

To enter Boutique-y VS The World, competitors must submit their cocktail by 20 May 2024, be over the age of 18 and reside in the UK.

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to make their cocktails in live heats from 17 June across ‘Four Nights of Fun’, and the final will be held in Manchester on 4 July.

TBWC is an independent bottler established in 2012.

The company was awarded Best Independent Bottler at the 2023 Spirit Business Awards, where Simmons also won Blender of the Year.
