Taylors Snacks, a popular Scottish snack brand, has announced that its products are now available in all ALDI stores across the UK, marking the brand’s first supermarket listing outside of Scotland.

Known for its success in Scotland since rebranding from Mackie’s Crisps in 2023, Taylors Snacks has long aimed for broader UK market penetration.

Produced at the Taylor family’s fourth-generation farm in Errol, Perthshire, the award-winning crisps are crafted by a team of 110 employees.

The company is gearing up for further expansion to meet growing retail and consumer demand.ALDI will feature four of Taylors Snacks’ most popular flavors: Straight Cut Mature Cheddar & Onion, Pickled Onion, and Lightly Sea Salted and Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar Ridge Cut, each retailing at £1.25 per pack.

The current distribution agreement involves nearly 220,000 packets of crisps being delivered to ALDI stores nationwide, with the potential for additional listings in the future.

James Taylor, MD of Taylors Snacks explains: “We are confident that Taylors will be as well received around the rest of the UK as our snacks have been in Scotland, and look forward to bringing our unique, thick cut crisps to even more people around the country.

“We have enjoyed a fruitful relationship with ALDI for over 14 years since our days trading as Mackie’s Crisps, and we couldn’t be more pleased to partner with them in our first foray into supermarkets outside of Scotland.

“We will always be proud of our Scottish roots and will remain based in Perthshire as our company grows, bringing more jobs to the area. As our brand continues to evolve, we are excited to bring more and more of our ranges to a wider audience.”

The core range of Taylors Snacks includes thick-cut crisps in flavors such as Sea Salt, Sea Salt & Vinegar, Mature Cheddar & Onion, Pickled Onion, Flame Grilled Aberdeen Angus, Haggis & Cracked Black Pepper, and Chilli Kick.

The Ridge Cut range features new flavors like Hot Buffalo Wings and Jalapeño & Mature Cheddar, alongside existing favorites.

Beyond crisps, Taylors offers lighter snacks like Lentil Waves and popcorn.

Lentil Waves come in Sea Salt & Vinegar, Barbecue, Sour Cream & Onion, and Thai Red Curry flavors, while popcorn options include Sweet & Salted and Lightly Sea Salted.

The brand also produces indulgent popcorn varieties, including Toffee-coated and the new Salted Caramel flavour.
