There are three interesting matches on the European coupon on Monday evening and Hammarby’s clash with Gothenburg features in our bets of the day, along with the other Swedish top-flight game between Halmstad and AIK.
There is also a top-six clash in the Finnish Veikkausliiga to take in beforehand as Haka host Ilves with just two points and two places separating the pair in the standings.

Bet of the Day
Hammarby to beat IFK Goteburg @ 17/20
Hammarby were unable to break down GAIS last time out and had to settle for a 0-0 draw, but Bajen have taken 10 points from their last four Allsvenskan matches and they look a good bet to beat a depleted Goteburg side.
Kim Hellberg’s men have won five of their six home league matches this term, and while they have been unable to take that sort of form on the road, they remain a potent force at the Tele2 Arena.
Bajen hammered Sirius 3-0 in their latest Stockholm contest, in a game in which they didn’t allow the visitors a single shot on target.
Goteburg have won only four of their 13 league matches this season and have conceded 11 goals in their last four away games.
Stefan Billborn hasn’t been dealt a kind hand, with Pontus Dahlberg, Suleiman Abdullahi, Hussein Carneil, Mattias Johansson and Abundance Salaou all ruled out through injury and Blavitt look to be heading for another defeat.
Special of the day
Over 3.5 goals in Haka v Ilves @ 31/20
Ilves have lost only one of their last 12 matches and it’s no surprise to see Joonas Rantanen’s side odds-on at Haka.
Goals have been a big feature of matches involving Ipa this season and there have been a total of 47 strikes in their last 14 matches.
Haka have seen 25 goals scored in their last eight matches while Andy Smith’s men hit the net three times on their trip to Mariehamn last time out.
This Tehtaan kentta match-up could go goal crazy and backing over 3.5 looks worth a punt.
Longshot of the day
Halmstad to beat AIK @ 13/5
Halmstad were crushed 5-1 at Malmo last time out, but that was an away game against the tearaway league leaders and they may be better judged on their recent Orjans Vall performances.
HBK hammered GAIS 4-0 in their latest home fixture and prior to that emphatic victory, Magnus Haglund’s side crushed Hacken 3-0.
It’s four wins from six Allsvenskan matches at their home this term and it’s hard to have AIK odds-on, given the visitors have lost five of their last six matches.
Gnaget were comprehensively outplayed in a 2-1 home defeat to Kalmar in their previous outing and they look vulnerable on their trip to Halmstad as they search for their first away win of the season, particularly as their defensive record on the road is the worst in the Allsvenskan.
