Stockport businesses are invited to explore how they can work together with social enterprises and non-profits to achieve green goals at the next meeting of the borough’s Proper Good Business Club.

Stockport’s Proper Good Business Club brings businesses together with local social enterprises and provides a space for mutually beneficial partnerships to form. Businesses can discover how Social Enterprises can support them to achieve their business goals, and Social Enterprises can unlock new opportunities to achieve their social missions.

The next meet focuses on how Social Enterprises can support businesses to achieve their sustainability and green business goals and will hear from a number of business / social enterprise partnerships and the benefits achieved for both. 

The upcoming event will take place on Thursday 26th September 2024, at The Parently Group, Bredbury Industrial Estate, Stockport. The day’s agenda includes:

  • 9.30 – Registration & networking
  • 10.00 – Intro
  • 10.05 – Lean Manufacturing with The Parently Group
  • 10.30 – Breakout workshops. Choose one of the following:
    • Creating sustainable buildings and work environments with Meadows & Meander OR
    • Great partnerships attract great press. Stockport’s plastic bottle top mural with Plastic Shed OR
    • Supporting sustainable travel by helping employees to be bike confident with Cera Cycloan and CDL OR
    • Green Volunteering for employee wellbeing with Marbury Road Edible Garden & Datesand
