Soap star and PR guru Jai Evans has been found dead at age 43.

Jai, who appeared in Home and Away in 1997, was found in the Sydney apartment he had been renting on Wednesday.

‘Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the death of a 43-year-old man at a unit in Darlinghurst on 4 September 2024,’ a spokesperson for the NSW Police told the Daily Mail Australia.

‘Police will not be making any further comment about the matter.’

Though Jai’s cause of death is unknown, officers attending the scene reportedly found ‘no apparent suspicious circumstances’.

Speaking to the publication, a source reported that Evans was distant in the weeks before his death, and friends and acquaintances said he would fall off the radar for days at a time, which was out of character for him.

A friend of Jai, Bondi Fitness Instructor Dan Wootton, paid tribute to him on Facebook.

Alongside a picture, Dan wrote: ‘RIP Jai Evans. Another beautiful friend taken much too soon before his time. Your vibrant energy & eagerness to help was second to none. Rest easy Jai, love you mate.’

At 24-years-old, Jai founded his company Evans Media, which was started in 2005 and helped hundreds of media companies with their PR strategies.
