The New York pop-rock band haven’t released an album since they went on an indefinite hiatus after 2012’s ‘Magic Hour‘.

However, it seems they might be coming back as the band changed their Facebook and Instagram profile pictures to an image of TV static.

Additionally, fans in the UK noticed that their logo appeared on the side of Manchester’s Co-op Live arena, possibly teasing some gigs there as well, NME reports.

People took to social media to discuss the clues, with some sharing images of the band’s logo on the side of the Co-op Live arena.

One person posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Sorry what? A @scissorsisters logo shows up on the side of @TheCoopLive and they blank their social media headers? Are we about to see the coolest reunion of 2025?!”

Another shared: “the streets are saying scissor sisters reunion and honestly that’s exactly what i need right now”.

Meanwhile, another shared some nostalgia from previous performances, saying: “One of the greatest gigs I ever went to was at the Empire in Middlesbrough. Scissor Sisters supported by Phoenix was a bit mad.”

Who are Scissor Sisters?

The pop-rock band was formed in 2000 and comprises Jake Shears and Ana Matronic as vocalists, Babydaddy as multi-instrumentalist, Del Marquis as lead guitar/bassist, and Randy Real (who replaced Paddy Boom) as drummer.

Shears has previously spoken with NME about wanting to make another record with the group since they went on hiatus.

He said: “I really want to make another Scissors record – I don’t know when that’s gonna be.”

Shears went on to say: “I think everybody would need to want to do it. I don’t wanna twist anybody’s arm – that would just be no fun.”
