Retail marketing specialist Altavia is merging its two UK businesses into a larger marketing agency, boasting over 140 employees.

Northampton-based Altavia HRG and Sheffield’s Altavia UK have officially merged to form a single agency called Altavia UK.

The merger includes a new brand identity and website, with all its current staff retained.

Altavia UK is part of the global Altavia Group, which has 65 businesses serving over 1000 retail clients in 45 countries.

The agency works with clients like Premier Foods, Arla, and Vision Express. It operates a hybrid model with its headquarters in Northampton.

Joint managing director, Joe Ward, said: “We’re on a mission to help our clients to make a difference in retail with their brand activations and believe that bringing a combined 50 years of expertise will do exactly that.

“We understand the rules of retail marketing and how to break them. Our innovative work helps clients to get results and create peak campaign performance. Retail today isn’t just about transactions, it’s about creating meaningful connections, whether that’s in-store or online, in a supermarket, pharmacy, pub or airport.

“We’ve integrated our teams to give clients the best service and look forward to an exciting future for the business.”

The combined agency offers clients a range of retail marketing services and expertise, including strategy, shopper marketing, creative innovation, sustainable print production and supply chain, brand communications and retail media.

Nick White, joint managing director and sustainability lead at Altavia UK, adds: “Retailers and brands are under pressure to deliver increasingly sustainable marketing campaigns. Altavia UK has championed sustainable sourcing practices for our clients since 2009. We employ carbon-balanced materials and technologies to measure and help reduce their carbon impact. We also work with social enterprises to fulfil some client projects. Our work in this area has underpinned our EcoVadis Platinum accreditation.”

“The team is passionate about retail and we work with clients as long-term partners to help them solve even the most difficult marketing challenges.”

Vanessa Crow, people and culture director at Altavia UK, said: “We’re proud of our amazing team, who bring together a great combination of experience, passion and energy.  Our culture focuses on being curious about each others’ experiences, with an active employee-led team on diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We are motivated by the journey Altavia UK is on, with learning being fundamental to our team’s success. This means we’re both agile and respectful and can give clients the best possible experience because our people understand their challenges as if they’re our own.”
