Montgomeryshire MP Steve Witherden presented Woosnam & Davies shop owner Trudy Davies with the SBA UK Small Business Award.
“What a year our small business has had this year,” Trudy said.

“When I met Steve, I took the opportunity to speak about how important it was to support small businesses particularly in the rural areas of Wales where small businesses are very often the first port of call for their community members to seek support or help if they are in need.”
Woosnam & Davies News was recently announced as a finalist for a ‘Rural Oscar’ for best village shop after being nominated by loyal customers for the Countryside Alliance award, and also shortlisted for Convenience Store’s Retailers’ Retailer of the Year award.
“To think I am thought of in such high regard to be amongst these inspiring and professional retailers has just blown me away,” Trudy added.
