She was the first to get engaged on Love Is Blind UK, but it turns out we could have seen Sabrina head down the aisle to a completely different man on the Netflix show, as she had another strong connection outside of her relationship with Steven that we never got to see.
The 35-year-old from Belfast was seen at the beginning of episode two accepting 37-year-old Steven’s proposal, after they bonded over their love of meditation and shared philosophies on life. However, her decision wasn’t as clear cut as it initially appeared.
“So Steven from day two was my number one, but I did have another connection which you don’t see at all,” Sabrina revealed while speaking to the Irish Sun.
“And right up until the day that me and Steven decided that we would be the only connection, I was also speaking to that person and they had come in to ask me to be their connection. And I had to let them down and say, actually, I’ve chosen Steven. There’s so much you don’t see. There’s so many other beautiful moments and dates.”
Sorry, but she basically had a whole other relationship? Netflix roll the tapes stat. However, during her interview she did make it clear her connection with Steven was always stronger, and the couple shared many other moments that lead to their emotional proposal we didn’t get to see.
We saw the couple speak about their grandparents’ jewellery and the significant meaning behind the pieces in episode one, but what we didn’t get to see is when Steven gave Sabrina his grandad’s ring (stop we’re going to cry 🥹) and the time they played hangman through the pod wall.
Following their engagement Steven and Sabrina joined the rest of the couples in Corfu for the retreat and right now it appears things could not be going better for them.
Here’s to keeping our fingers crossed we get to see more sweet moments between the pair in the upcoming episodes, which drop tomorrow (14th August) btw.
Not that we’re counting down the hours or anything.
Episodes 1 to 4 of Love Is Blind UK are available on Netflix now
