Oasis fans eagerly awaiting pre-sale tickets for the band’s monumental comeback tour are desperately waiting for 5pm to come around to see if they’ve been successul.

The Gallagher brothers will be hitting the road for 14 dates in July and August next year, before adding an extra three dates due to the high demand.

Eager fans will be allowed to enter a pre-sale draw, with an initial deadline of 7pm on Wednesday 28 August, before being moved to 10am on Friday 30 August.

This follows some fans initially receiving an email after entering the pre-sale draw, informing them that winners would receive their code by midday on Friday. However, another notification indicated that their code could arrive anytime before a later deadline of 5pm.

The ballot required fans to answer a unique set of questions, with those randomly selected to receive a code being notified.

Fans who hadn’t confirmed their entries would miss out on the chance to receive codes from the ballot, according to a statement which explained: “Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out.”

How does the ballot work?

The pre-sale ballot will be released before the general sale on Saturday 31 August and is expected to take place on Friday 30 August after 5pm.

The deadline was initially at 7pm on Wednesday, 28 August, but due to demand, the band issued a statement: “Due to a last minute surge in pre-sale ballot entries, a number of confirmation emails are still being processed and sent out.

“The deadline to confirm your entry has now been extended to 10am BST tomorrow morning (Friday 30th August). If successful in the ballot, you will be contacted tomorrow by 5pm BST with pre-sale access information. Thank you for your patience.”

Fans must answer a question on Oasis, to prove they’re a fan, before they can proceed and enter their details.

Does the pre-sale ballot ensure you tickets?

Fans who do receive the pre-sale confirmation are still not guaranteed a ticket to one of the gigs, as they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Oasis have said that the ballot was set up to “ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets”.

When will you find out if you’re successful?

While the pre-sale ballot closes at 10am, fans will eventually find out whether they’ve been successful at 5pm this afternoon.

The band’s statement said: “The deadline to confirm your entry has now been extended to 10am BST tomorrow morning (Friday 30th August). If successful in the ballot, you will be contacted tomorrow by 5pm BST with pre-sale access information. Thank you for your patience.”

Do you need to register?

Fans can register for the ballot via the official Oasis website. You must be registered to be with a chance to get the pre-sale information.

How much are tickets?

Seated tickets start from £72 in Dublin, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London, and will rise to around £205.

Standard standing tickets will cost around £150 at all venues.

There are premium packages available from £216 to £506.25, which will include merchandise items and access to a pre-show party and private Oasis exhibition, depending on the venue.
