Virgin Atlantic has partnered with STEM Learning and Save the Children to “empower everyone to take on the world”. The airline has teamed up with STEM Learning in a bid to support young people interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). STEM Learning will help to grow the airline’s Passport to Change programme. The airline will also be supporting Save the Children’s Emergency Fund, which provides access to healthcare, food, shelter and education when disaster strikes.

Patrick Borg Hedley is the new General Manager of Sales – UK, Ireland and Iceland for Lufthansa Group. He will be responsible for the commercial and sales activities for all Lufthansa Group carriers Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings. Hedley brings 25 years of Lufthansa experience across Yemen, Cyprus, the UAE and Portugal.

Dalata Hotel Group has opened an its fifth London hotel. The four-star Maldron Hotel Shoreditch features timber, tile and leather detailing throughout. The 157-guestrroom hotel features Dalata’s Grain & Grill bar and restaurant, as well as a Red Bean Roastery coffee dock serving barista prepared coffee. The launch will create 45 jobs.

Global Travel Collection UK has named Danny Paines as its Sales Manager. Paines has 11 years of experience in operation and sales in the UK, US and EU. In his new role, Paines will secure new revenue opportunities and corporate accounts, as well as expanding GTC’s business.

Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is now a partner of The Business Travel Association. The partnership aligns with LBA’s commitment to supporting business travel and enhancing connectivity for corporate travellers across the UK and internationally. 

easyHotel has launched a new hotel in Geneva. The property, which is due to open in 2027, will feature 141 low-carbon bedrooms that are designed to optimise space. To finance the project, easyHotel has secured an €8.6 million loan from BRED Banque Populaire.
