Global leadership advisory firm Russell Reynolds Associates has named former strategy consultant Nanaz Mohtashami as the new Head of its UK business.

An executive with over 15 years of experience in leadership advisory, Nanaz Mohtashami has been with Russel Reynolds Associates since 2013. Prior to her step up to UK leader, she led the firm’s global Medtech practice, working with clients across the world.

In her new top role, Mohtashami leads the firm’s strategic direction and UK team, one of the largest within the firm’s worldwide network.

Russell Reynolds Associates launched its London office in 1972, at the time its first outside the United States. The office today provides the company’s full suite of services for leaders, including leadership advisory, executive search, executive assessment, CEO succession, board evaluation, and corporate governance.

“Good leadership is desperately important to the UK today,” said Mohtashami. “It is a privilege to support the next generation of leaders, as the decisions they make influence our economy, our environment and our values. Our role, as ever, is to listen to clients, build lasting relationships and guide them through this period of significant change.”

In her work with clients, Mohtashami focuses on leadership assignments at the executive and non-executive levels, tackling a wide array of senior talent issues such as succession, development, team effectiveness and more.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, she spent 13 years as a strategy consultant with Monitor Deloitte, advising leading clients both in the UK and around the globe. She joined as an analyst and progressed rapidly to become the youngest female partner at the Deloitte Consulting subsidiary.

Mohtashami succeeds Laura Sanderson, who has been promoted to Co-Head of Europe, Middle East & India alongside Filiep Deforche, a Brussels-based partner.
