Position: Record Label Manager
Location: Shoreditch, London
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Working Hours: Mon – Fri 10am – 6pm


Overview

MRC is a UK and US based Independent record label, with particular, though not exclusive, focus on an extensive back catalog focused. We also release new music across over 50 record labels which we actively operate accross multiple genres.

We are looking for a Record Label Manager to work as part of our team, managing and administering the labels, ensuring that all domestic and international releases are delivered and executed smoothly.


Main Activities and Responsibilities

Full lifecycle of a music release from A&R, artist interaction, product development production, marketing, distribution and finance. Managing a small team of record label assistants and external consultants and agencies.

Secondary Activities:

Initiate and chair internal label planning meetings, Co-ordinate promo schedules with various agencies, Where relevant, manage the design process through to finished artwork, Collate sleevenotes, tracklistings, label copy, and forward to internal/external designers to lay-up in album sleeves, providr regular updates to internal stakeholders on releases and campaigns.


Requirements

You should have at least 2 years experience in record label management, preferrably in the hands-on, get-stuff-done environment of an independent record label.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills, and be ready to often act as a single point of contact at the label. We deal with a lot of French speaking artists and labels so spoken and written french is a big plus.
