Mobile UK has this week launched its Better Connected Rural campaign.

To raise awareness and showcase the benefits of mobile connectivity to rural areas, the MNO trade association will be running a series of case studies to show how the technology enriches and enables communities and businesses in even the hardest to reach areas.

Throughout this week, Mobile UK will be posting and sharing content using the hashtag #BetterConnectedRural. The campaign will kickstart with the latest Live Better Connected Podcast episode, featuring Three UK’s chief network officer Iain Milligan, who will be discussing how mobile connectivity is changing argi-tech and bringing benefits to areas where there are no people.

Following this, the group’s director of policy and communications Gareth Elliott, will present a special vlog episode on South Uist. He will meet with a local resident, council leader and helicopter pilot to discuss the importance of connectivity and how it is installed in such remote areas.

To support the Better Connected Rural campaign, Mobile UK has partnered with Good Things Foundation, DMSL and the mobile operators, who will each be sharing content across social media platforms and websites.
