Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, are down, which might be a blessing and a curse for office workers.

Reports on Downdector started just before 7.40am before rising to 386 as of 8.54am.

When loading Outlook, an error page appears: ‘Your request can’t be completed right now.’

Users are describing issues sending emails, saving drafts or viewing some messages in their inboxes.

‘The original message can’t be shown right now. It will be included when this message is sent,’ one error says.

Microsoft’s service health webpage says: ‘Everything is up and running.’

On the American Downdetector, only about a dozen reports have been made so far.

Microsoft 365 is a family of software that includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Microsoft has been approached for comment.
