Mexican restaurant chain Boojum has opened its second UK location in Nottingham on Lower Parliament Street.

Boojum features a variety of Mexican dishes, including burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, chips, and salsa.

Founded in 2007, the chain now boasts 17 outlets throughout Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK.

The Nottingham location is the 18th in the chain, with the only other UK site located in Leeds, which opened in February of this year.

To celebrate the launch, the 2,377 sq ft restaurant treated its first 300 customers to a complimentary burrito.

Boojum operations director, Rob Powell, said: “The reaction to our first outlet in Nottingham has been phenomenal. We’ve welcomed hundreds of customers through the doors and have had a lovely warm welcome from surrounding businesses.

“We pride ourselves on our high quality, fresh, Mexican-inspired menu with punchy, mouthwatering flavours and the feedback we’ve had so far from our Nottingham customers has been fantastic. We are really excited be open and just in time to welcome all the new and returning students to the city over the coming weeks.”
