Trains in and out of a major London station are facing delays and cancellations this morning.
Engineering works between Clapham Junction and Wimbledon have overrun, blocking some lines between the two stations.
This is affecting South Western Railway services and trains are facing cancellations or delays while the disruption is ongoing.
It’s expected this will cause issues until 9am, bad news for commuters hoping to get around London during rush hour this morning.
Elsewhere in the capital, the Metropolitan line of the London Underground is suspended between Rickmansworth and Amersham/Chesham.
This is due to a signal failure at Chalfont & Latimer.
And there are also no trains running between Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill in west London because of a signal fault.
That’s impacting Chiltern Railways services to and from Marylebone, and again is set to last until about 9am.
Disruption between Selby and Doncaster continues for third day
A points failure in the Selby area is causing disruption to journeys between Selby and Doncaster.
Network Rail engineers are trying to resolve the problem, but ‘significant repairs’ to the faulty points are required.
Hull Trains and LNER services between Selby and Doncaster will be cancelled, revised or diverted, and this is expected to continue until Sunday, November 17.
Services are being diverted via Goole, with no trains stopping at Howden and Selby.
Northern and TransPennine Express services that run through Selby are unaffected by this disruption.
No trains between Sleaford and Boston
There are also issues on the railway in Lincolnshire this morning, after a road accident in the Hubberts Bridge area has blocked lines between Sleaford and Boston.
East Midlands Railway trains running between these stations will be cancelled or revised.
This is expected to last until about 9.30am.
12 hours of disruption between Wrexham General and Shrewsbury
Elsewhere in the UK, Transport for Wales travellers are facing disruption for most of the day today.
A shortage of signalling staff means the signal box at Gobowen will be closed between 7am and 7pm today.
This means trains running between Wrexham General and Shrewsbury may be cancelled, revised or diverted.
Trains running southbound (from Holyhead towards Birmingham / Cardiff) may terminate at Chester and restart at Shrewsbury, while northbound trains (from Cardiff / Birmingham towards Chester / Holyhead) may terminate at Shrewsbury and restart at Chester to continue the journey.
