One of Northern Ireland’s leading GPs has said she is “dreading” Monday after the “nightmare” impact of tech outages on Friday.

One of Northern Ireland’s most senior GPs said that she is “dreading” work on Monday and called for patience from the public as staff deal with the aftermath of a worldwide computer glitch that struck on Friday.

Friday’s global outage began with a faulty file from US cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike. The company provides computer security to thousands of large organisations around the world, including airlines, banks, telecoms companies and broadcasters.
