When it comes to travelling we are lucky that in the UK we can take a flight for a few hours and be in another part of Europe or North Africa.

And if you have a bucket list of destinations to get through then you will be pleased to know that Jet2 has announced new flight routes to popular locations.

Jet2CityBreaks has expanded its Discover More collection to tourist hotspots in Krakow and Marrakech due to customer demand.

It will see the UK airline offer trips to Marrakech, including a tour of the vibrant city, and trips to the historic city of Krakow where a tour of Auschwitz is provided.

Jet2CityBreaks’ new package will allow travellers to explore Marrakech’s top things to do in one day, including Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque gardens and Jemaa el-Fna Square.

The tour will also see holidaymakers given lunch served in a traditional Moroccan restaurant and a chance to go and explore the city themselves in their own free time.

For those who are interested in the Moroccan city, Jet2CityBreaks will start operating in Marrakech for both Winter 24/25 and Summer 25 from October 4, 2024.

This city break will be available from four UK airports – Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London Stansted.

The full flying programme includes:

  • Birmingham – two weekly flights operating from October 4 2024 right through to November 14 2025.

  • Glasgow – two weekly flights operating from November 4 2024 until April 28 2025, and from October 3 to November 14 2025. Marrakech is an exclusive route to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays from Glasgow Airport.

  • Manchester – two weekly flights operating from October 4 2024 to November 14 2025.

  • London Stansted – two weekly flights operating from October 4 2024 right through to November 14 2025.

Meanwhile, those who plan on visiting Krakow through the Discover More package will also get to visit Auschwitz where tour guides will give an insight into its devastating history.

Krakow packages will be on sale from Jet2CityBreaks for Summer 24, Winter 24/25 and Summer 25.

This flight path will operate from nine UK airports, including Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester and Newcastle International.

By booking through the Discover More package, holidaymakers will be able to make the most of benefits including 22kg hold luggage and 10kg hand baggage allowance. ATOL protection and accommodation are also included.

Jet2CityBreaks Discover More package currently operates to destinations such as Porto, Iceland, Bergen and the Fjords, Turkey, Malta and Croatian cruises.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are expanding our Discover More collection in response to demand from customers, and we know that these new packages to the city break destinations of Marrakech and Krakow will be very popular.

“With more customers looking to experience it all on their holidays, whether that is adventure, culture, history or sightseeing, we have responded to this and expanded our Discover More collection.

“From speaking with customers and independent travel agents we know that there is a growing appetite to learn more about these historically vital locations, and they add a lot to our growing Discover More collection.”
