A personal trainer proved he is more than fighting fit after winning a top award for the second year straight.

Kieran James – who gambled money saved up for a house deposit on launching his business – has once again been named the Best of the Best Programme’s Personal Trainer of the Year 2024/25.

He first won the award last year, just two-and-a-half years after swapping his job in education for the gym.

“I’m outstandingly proud,” said Spalding-based Kieran, who operates out of Pinchbeck’s Snap Fitness.

“It came as a great surprise to everyone. To be honoured with it twice over is really good.”

The awards, which focus on the UK fitness industry, take into account trainers’ public personas and output on social media as well as the way they interact with clients.

Kieran has always been proactive online, running his own vlog/podcast as well as a number of social media accounts.

The former Gleed Boys pupil charts his clients’ progress at KieranJames_PT on both Facebook and Instagram with his podcast available by searching KieranJamesPT on both YouTube and Spotify.

“It always finds new heights, new levels, and it keeps growing. I love the fact I have this opportunity,” said Kieran, discussing life as a personal trainer.

“I’m happy about what I’ve accomplished, but it’s thanks to the clients I’ve had along the way and the connections I’ve made in the fitness industry.

“I’m just the face of it, I’ve got to thanks clients, family, friends and supporters.”

Another year into his journey and Kieran continues to be impressed by the gains his clients are showing.

“I’ve got clients I’ve had a long time and new clients. Every one is different, they all have their own objectives and goals and they’ve made a lot of transitions and progress towards their goals,” he added.

“It’s very humbling and remind you every day why you do this.”
