Tarnia Elsworth, Annabel Lumsden and John Elsworth at the new TP Financial Solutions office in Morecambe

Owners of a Morecambe family business who have moved into a new seafront office say the renaissance of the West End is under way.

Tarnia Elsworth and Annabel Lumsden from TP Financial Solutions opened their new premises near The Battery on Monday.

Financial advisers Tarnia and Annabel have renovated the former Bella’s Bistro at 19 Marine Road opposite the West End Gardens.

They previously worked from their home at Twemlow Parade in Heysham but said they made an “active choice” to move to the West End.

“We think the West End has got so much potential and I think other people are seeing that too,” said Tarnia.

“I think a lot of people remember the West End in its heyday. We are seeing a renaissance in this area in particular.

“We’ve always worked from home to this point. We decided, we’re a little bit too busy, the kids have grown up, it was time to get our own commercial property and the West End of Morecambe was where we wanted to be.”

Annabel said: “I think with the West End in particular, there are good points and bad points, but I think in general people are wanting more and more to be in this part of town.

“There are opportunities to have offices or premises or retail spaces down this end and the more that happens, the more positive effect it will have.”

TP Financial Solutions moving into the West End comes as a row of shops round the corner on West Street has been revamped and renamed ‘The Veranda’.
