LONDON, October. 16, 2024 — inforcer, the leading Microsoftmulti-tenant management solution, today announced it has raised a $19M (£14.6M) Series A financing round led by Meritech Capital. This follows Meritech’s lead investments in both MSP community-focused vendors Huntress and Rewst, as well as their prior investments in leading technology companies such as Salesforce, Meta, Snowflake and Datadog. Concurrent with the financing, Tanner Bhonslay of Meritech Capital will join the inforcer board alongside Christian Nagele, former co-founder of Centrastage (now Datto RMM).

Founded by channel veterans Jamie Daum, Will Connor, Rory McInerney, and Richard Thompson, inforcer leverages the advanced security technologies already included in Microsoft 365 to help MSPs secure end-user environments and comply with evolving cybersecurity regulations.

“Jamie and the inforcer team truly embody the ‘Channel-First’ mentality and have dedicated their careers towards improving the operations of MSPs.

” By streamlining the configuration of Microsoft security policies in a multi-tenant fashion, inforcer empowers MSPs to strengthen their security posture, increase internal efficiency, and upsell novel security offerings, ensuring MSPs remain competitive amidst a rapidly changing landscape.”

Tanner Bhonslay, Partner at Meritech Capital

The $19M (£14.6) Series A funding from Meritech supports inforcer during a period of rapid growth, enabling the company to advance its already aggressive roadmap and further expand its active community of MSPs tackling complex Microsoft challenges.

By automating the deployment of Microsoft policies and security baselines across multiple tenants — processes which are typically handled manually – inforcer allows MSPs to productize new wrap-around security services underpinned by existing Microsoft technologies often included in their client’s existing licences. With ongoing reporting, remediation tools, and regular product updates that complement Microsoft’s release schedule, inforcer is designed to help MSPs ride the Secure Score-as-a-Service wave, a key initiative on Microsoft’s agenda.

“Having witnessed the evolution from break-fix to managed services and more recently to managed security services, we’re seeing a trend of MSPs re-skilling their teams to leverage the Microsoft security stack and become Managed Microsoft Security Service Providers—what we call MSP 2.0.”

Jamie Daum, CEO of inforcer

Since launching in 2022, inforcer has been adopted by high-profile MSPs and groups across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions, quickly becoming an essential tool in the modern MSP’s software stack.

inforcer’s key features include:

·      Rapid deployment of Microsoft tenants, policies, and security baselines

·      In-depth auditing and reporting on tenants, policy drifts, and policy changes

·      Daily backups and on-demand restoration of policy configurations

·      Setup and automated deployment of customer-specific security policies

·      Optional baseline libraries for policies configured to meet international regulatory standards

·      Prospecting tools and reports to demonstrate the value of tenant hardening services to end-users

While inforcer has already executed an impressive roadmap, Meritech’s funding will support the research, development, and iteration of inforcer’s technologies, accelerating product updates and introducing new features at an even faster pace.

“This industry has always thrived under healthy, almost communal competition, driven by the openness of MSPs to share knowledge amongst themselves.”

“With inforcer, we’re helping MSPs to differentiate and build new Microsoft security service offerings that were previously not scalable.

To help with the high cost of Microsoft experts, we are building a community and a learning path for MSPs to upskill their teams and strengthen their client security. Ultimately, inforcer enables MSPs to sell high-margin wrap-around recurring services underpinned by a globally recognized brand that end users already trust and rely on, Microsoft.”
