Oasis fans are thrilled at the prospect of seeing the band live – but one has an unusual reservation about it.

The Gallagher brothers announced their return to the stage 15 years after the band split on Tuesday (August 27), and demand for tickets for their UK and Ireland tour is believed to be off the charts.

While some devotees of Liam and Noel have voiced concerns about missing out due to immense demand and lofty ticket prices others have criticised the choice of venue, particularly Manchester’s Heaton Park over fears about the length of time it can take to exit the site.

One fan has taken to TikTok with a wholly different dilemma, however. While Oasis’ hit Live Forever broods over the prospect of becoming ‘soaked to the bone’ in the ‘morning rain’, Emma (@wanderwithwhittle) shared her dread about getting dampened with a much less pleasant substance.

“I haven’t even got Oasis tickets yet and I’m already worrying about the lads that are going to fill their empty plastic pint cups with p*** and lob them into the air,” she admitted, shaking her head in disgust.

Echoing this fear, another user replied on TikTok: “This is what is actually putting me off getting tickets.” A third person chimed in: “Genuinely the first thing on my mind as an Oasis fan from the States moving to London. I hear it’s probably more likely to happen at Heaton Park.”

And whilst one seasoned concert-goer shared some handy advice: “I have an Oasis hoodie from a Wembley concert that I had to buy for this reason.”

Another Oasis nut told Emma not to dwell it on should her fear become reality. “I saw them at Wembley just before they split we was in standing and I went home with very crispy curly hair,” they explained. “Rank and fun at the same time. They were amazing then and going to be amazing again.”

In an attempt to reassure Emma, meanwhile, another fan offered hope: “The OG oasis fans will now be 40+ so have hopefully grew out of it. The new generation are not as partial to a pint of p***. Hopefully we are safe!”

“I hope so,” Emma replied. “I’m 40 and seen their last gig in V back in 09 and we got absolutely covered in it!”

And a second TikTok user added positive thoughts, sharing their recent experience at a gig. “Just went to see Massive Attack this weekend and it was full of us 50-year olds,” they said. “No one was drinking much beer. Very civilised!”
