HCA Healthcare UK is adding to its unique network of healthcare with an 18 million GBP investment in two new outpatient centres dedicated to the care of women. This includes a 4.5 million GBP centre on the King’s Road and a 13.5 million GBP six-floor centre on Harley Street.

Both centres have been designed to ensure that all aspects of women’s healthcare can be accessed in one location offering comprehensive, one-stop gynaecology and breast screening services with 3D and contrast mammogram, alongside expertise in menopause, and other health conditions.

Opening in early May, HCA UK’s Chelsea Outpatients at 272 Kings Road will draw from consultant expertise from The Lister Hospital. The centre will also offer access to some of the UK’s leading expertise in endometriosis, with a seamless referral route into the nearby Hospital’s BGSE accredited Endometriosis Centre.

Opening in Summer 2024, the 13,000 square foot our Women’s Health Centre on Harley Street will also bring together leading and specialist expertise for women at every stage of their lives in a state-of-the-art facility.  The centre will provide a full range of specialist care with 16 consulting rooms, four treatment rooms, three ultrasound rooms, three mammograms and its own 3T MRI and DEXA scanner.

It will draw from leading consultants at HCA UK’s nearby hospitals; The Harley Street Clinic and The Princess Grace Hospital, and will offer a private GP service with doctors who specialise in healthcare for women.

These new centres add to HCA UK’s investment in new outpatient and diagnostic care over the past 12 months. The 2 million GBP Battersea and Nine Elms opened in November 2023, and the 18 million GBP Canary Wharf Outpatients is set to open in Summer 2024.

“By drawing on expertise from some of our leading hospitals we are bringing the very best in healthcare for women to two new dedicated centres. It is part of our whole health approach, providing primary and outpatient care through to the most complex of procedures and treatment in a single system of healthcare,” said John Reay, CEO and President of HCA Healthcare UK.

Reay added: “The expansion of our outpatient and specialist care, a £36m investment in the last year alone, is providing our patients with more choice and flexibility to be seen by the specialist and at the locations that are best for them. It also adds more options for patients to seamlessly access onward care in our hospitals, should they need to.”

Dr Orlanda Allen, Head of Women’s Services at HCA Healthcare UK said: “This investment in dedicated women’s health centres  demonstrates our commitment to improving women’s experience of healthcare. We recognise there are medical conditions that affect women disproportionately or differently and this has been our guide, ensuring that the services, consultant expertise and the specialist care we offer reflects this.”
