Hybrid insurer Hadron has announced that its UK business, Folgate Insurance Company Limited, will be rebranded as Hadron UK Insurance Company Limited (Hadron UK), alongside three key appointments.

Hadron entered the UK market in February 2024 through its acquisition of Folgate. The rebranding reflects the company’s strategy to unify its operations under the Hadron name. Hadron UK will continue to serve all existing policies with the same level of service and care that commercial customers expect.

The newly appointed executives for Hadron UK are Rob Passaro as Group Chief Financial Officer, Greg Guelfand as International Chief Financial Officer, and John Andrews as International Chief Underwriting Officer.

These changes follow AM Best’s reaffirmation of Hadron’s A- (Excellent) rating in Financial Size Category VIII for both its US and UK entities in June.

Sam Reeder, CEO of Hadron, stated, “We’re excited to formally align our global business under the Hadron banner while bringing on high quality executives.”

He added, “With our Group A- rating from AM Best spanning both the US and UK entities, a robust team, and substantial capital, Hadron is well-positioned to foster the continued growth of the specialty insurance market, effectively matching profitable risk with stable capital.”
