This means there’s no risk of missing out on the event if you’re already logged in and waiting around Restored Reels.
Epic explains more: “Remix: The Prelude will open in Battle Royale and Zero Build at 5:45pm ET (9.45pm GMT). At that time, Restored Reels will become a protected area and respawns will be enabled. Jump in and grab your spot now.”
Worryingly, however, some fans are complaining about the game crashing ahead of the event.

UPDATE: Fortnite developer Epic Games has issued a number of warnings ahead of tonight’s Remix: The Prelude event.
Echoing our sentiments, the studio recommends logging in a few hours early to avoid queues.
The event takes place in Battle Royale and Zero Build, where it’s been confirmed that players won’t be eliminated around Restored Reels during the festivities.
Epic explains more: “Log in early! Beat the queue and hop on Fortnite a few hours early. Remix: The Prelude takes place in Battle Royale and Zero Build playlists! Don’t worry, the storm won’t hurt ya 😉
“Don’t be late! Remix: The Prelude starts at 6:30 PM ET. Trying to join last minute means you may miss this event.”
As a reminder, the event takes place at 10.30pm GMT for fans living in the UK.
ORIGINAL: Fortnite fans living in the UK risk missing out on the upcoming in-game event due to current time differences between the US and UK.
Epic Games has confirmed that the imminent Remix: The Prelude event will take place at 6.30pm ET on November 1.
Typically, the UK is five hours ahead of US Eastern Time, but because the US is still on Daylight Saving Time and the UK clocks went back last weekend, the difference is currently only four hours.
This means Fortnite’s Remix: The Prelude event will take place at 10.30pm GMT UK time on November 1.

Furthermore, fans all over the world are urged to login early to avoid missing out on the event due to overcrowded servers.
The recent Fortnite Doctor Doom event was so popular that many fans faced lengthy queues when attempting to login.
Traditionally, Epic Games recommends logging in around 30 minutes to an hour before the start of an event to make sure you beat the rush.
With the new Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix season kicking off on November 2, there’s a good chance the event won’t be repeated, despite its late start time for fans outside of the US.
Based on the in-game teasers, the event will take place in Restored Reels, where it will be shown on the screens.
The Fortnite live event will be followed by the launch of the new season, which kicks off at some point on November 2.
Titled Fortnite Chapter 2: Remix, the shortened season will take fans back to the old-school, similar to last year’s OG season.
According to Epic Games, the season will take players back to the Chapter 2 island, albeit with one or two surprises.
“Yes, we’re going back to the Chapter 2 Island – with splashes of content from the earliest seasons,” Epic explains, before confirming that Remix comes with a “tuneful twist”.
The Battle Pass will seemingly contain a Meowscles + Midas variant, Female Guff, 8-Ball Remix, Female Chaos Agent and TNTina Remix.
