A ferry company bidding to take over ferry services to and from the Channel Islands is undertaking berthing trials in Jersey and Guernsey.
Danish firm DFDS is one of three companies shortlisted by the islands’ governments to run ferry operations.
One of its ships, the Seven Sisters, which currently operates routes in France and the UK and can carry 600 passengers and more than 200 cars, is testing berthing at St Peter Port and St Helier harbours.
The politicians responsible for deciding the future ferry operator for the island have said the chosen company would be announced this month.
Condor Ferries’ current agreements with Jersey and Guernsey ends in April 2025, with the successful bidder expected to run the services for 15 years.
