A NEW edition of the West End Farmer’s Market will take place this coming Sunday May 5 from 10am to 1 pm in the gardens of Fountainhall Church at the Cross, next to Cognito at the Cross.

Organised by Fountainhall Church, Cognito at the Cross and Queen’s Cross and Harlaw Community Council, the West End Farmer’s Market at Queen’s Cross has brought a new life to the West End of Aberdeen every first Sunday morning of the month.

Taking place only during the Spring and Summer months, the next scheduled dates will be May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4 and September 1.

Following the great success of past editions, the number of stall holders and public has steadily grown over the last months, offering a rich and wide variety of locally sourced products.

From the very fresh products of Granite City Fish or Woodmill Game to the delicious pastries of Rosa’s Sicilian Food and The Bread Maker, the public visiting the market will be able to treat themselves and their families with food items of an exceptional quality this Sunday May 5.

For more information about the Farmer’s Market and the products that will be on sale, visit www.facebook.com/farmersmarketqueenscross/ If you are interested in having a stall in future editions, contact the organisers through their Facebook page.

The day out can be completed with a tea, coffee or lunch at Cognito at the Cross and a visit to the halls that the venue Fountainhall at the Cross (formerly Queen’s Cross) has available to hire for formal and informal gatherings. Equipped with the latest AV technology, Fountainhall at the Cross can accommodate events from four people up to 350 people such as concerts, AGMs, training days and workshops. Fountainhall at the Cross hirers can also benefit from the hospitality services of Cognito at the Cross, the onsite café.

For more information about the halls, contact Marina Vega on [email protected] , visit www.fountainhallchruch.org.uk or www.facebook.com/fountainhallchurch.
