Sally Basker, chief executive of Exeter Science Park, has been appointed as chair of the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA).

She said: “I’m honoured to have been appointed chair of UKSPA and excited to collaborate with members, partners, and stakeholders to create opportunities across the UK’s Science Park sector.

“This is a pivotal moment for science and technology, and I look forward to working to influence and shape its future on a national scale. Science Parks are key to fostering innovation, supporting businesses, and driving regional economic growth, and I’m committed to ensuring UKSPA remains a strong voice for its members.”

Founded in 1984, UKSPA champions the growth and success of Science Parks, Technology Incubators, Innovation Centres, and other hubs of innovation across the UK, offering support and representation to its members.
