Cristiano Ronaldo won the Golden Boot for Euro 2020 after scoring five goals, breaking his tie with Czech Republic’s Patrik Schick courtesy of his one assist.
The Portuguese is once more one of the leading contenders in the race with UK betting sites offering a price of 16/1 for him to top the standings for the second straight tournament.
However, The Panel cannot overlook Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane, the last two winners of the World Cup Golden Boot. They are among their thoughts along with outsiders that could be worth consideration.

Following his move to Real Madrid, Mbappe will enter the Euros with a spring in his step as he attempts to steer France towards the European crown for the first time since 2000.
The 25-year-old won the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup after a terrific campaign where he notched eight goals, including a brilliant hat-trick in the final against Argentina.

It’s notable that Mbappe scored four goals against one of France’s Group D opponents Netherlands during qualifying. He also notched a brace in Les Bleus’ last 16 win over another Group D foe Poland at the 2022 World Cup.

Euro 2024 Top Goalscorer Tips: Will Kane Drive England Forward?
Kane finished just behind Ronaldo at Euro 2020 with four strikes following on from his Golden Boot win at the 2018 World Cup.
The England captain has a strong history of producing at major tournaments, although his penalty miss against France in the 2022 World Cup quarter-finals may still linger on his mind.
Kane only scored twice in that campaign, but he comes into the Euros fresh off an outstanding first season with Bayern Munich.
Even though the German giants had a disappointing campaign, Kane still flourished and his exemplary record for the Three Lions has seen betting apps price him up at 11/2 to claim the award.

Options for France outside of Mbappe are equally compelling. Olivier Giroud is still a potent forward and notched four goals for Les Bleus in the 2022 World Cup. As France’s all-time leading goalscorer, Giroud could be a dark horse to watch for the Golden Boot at a best-price 25/1.
Antoine Griezmann won the Golden Boot at Euro 2016 with six goals as France narrowly fell short of the crown. He produced his best goalscoring season in five years at club level and shouldn’t be overlooked at 30/1.
As previously mentioned, you can never count at Ronaldo at 16/1, but his Portugal team-mate Bruno Fernandes could be appealing at 50/1 after a strong end to the season with Manchester United.

The host nation at the last two iterations of the Euros have reached the final, albeit that France and England failed to win the crown.
Germany have struggled in recent major tournaments and were knocked out at the round of 16 stage by England at Euro 2020. They followed that by failing to emerge from the Group Stage of the 2022 World Cup.
Julian Nagelsmann has a challenge on his hands to sort out Die Mannschaft and make them challengers again. He could be boosted by Kai Havertz’s form and The Panel are intrigued by his price to win the Golden Boot.
