EURO 2024 Predictions

A summer of football is just around the corner – and our expert Euro 2024 predictions are in.

Gareth Southgate’s England are the red-hot favourites with the bookies to lift the trophy in July, but is the market overpricing the likes of Germany and Spain?

Now that all the qualifiers have been confirmed and the groups are set, the only thing left to do is to start predicting the winners – and the losers – and sorting out your bets.

We’ll share with you our favorite Euro 2024 betting sites, headed by Gxmble, our UEFA Euro 2024 picks, including all group stage predictions, as well as who we think may be the biggest dark horses this year.

Euro 2024 Outright Winners Prediction: France

You can bet on the Euro 2024 outright winners at all the top UK betting sites, including Gxmble, MyStake, and Winstler.

England are the 10/3 favourites to win Euro 2024. Practically every bookmaker has installed them as the team to beat – but is the confidence misguided?

There’s no doubt that Gareth Southgate has the strongest squad this year. Striker Harry Kane has been breaking scoring records in the Bundesliga all season long, while world-class midfielder Jude Bellingham has taken to playing at Real Madrid like a duck to water.

However, we have concerns over England’s ability to beat the top teams at major tournaments. A recent limp defeat at Wembley to an out-of-form Brazil confirmed that England under Southgate simply doesn’t lack the invention, ambition, and bravery to beat the very best.

Attention then turns to 7/2 second favourites France, led by mercurial talent Kylian Mbappe. At this price, France are just too good to ignore. Their manager’s pragmatism will help them in tight matches, as will Mbappe’s right foot.

Prediction: France to beat Portugal in the final.

Euro Qualifiers Predictions

Group A Predictions

Group A is made up of Germany, Switzerland, Hungary and Scotland. Germany are the favourites to win the group, Switzerland are the second favourites, while Scotland are tipped by the bookies to come bottom.

As host nations, Germany are expected by many to top this group – but the ever-consistent Switzerland shouldn’t be ruled out. Hungary are the dark horses, while we feel Scotland have already over-performed in getting this far and could even exit without a single point.

Group A predictions final table:

  1. Germany
  2. Switzerland
  3. Hungary
  4. Scotland

Group B Predictions

Group B is this year’s Group of Death, made up as it is of Spain, holders Italy, World Cup 2018 finalists Croatia and Albania.

Albania will be the whipping boys but it could be a shoot-off between Spain and Italy as to who falls victim to Croatia in the scramble to qualify via the top two.

Do we expect Croatia to climb above Spain and the Azzurri? We sure do. Since they’re 6/1 just to qualify, “Croatia to qualify” has to be the bet of the tournament.

Group B predictions final table:

  1. Spain
  2. Croatia
  3. Italy
  4. Albania

Group C Predictions

It’s impossible to look past England to take the top position. Denmark will put up a stiff fight as they always do, especially now they’ve got the firepower of Rasmus Hojlund, who’s been banging them in for Manchester United.

Serbia, meanwhile, will be sweating on the fitness of key striker Mitrovic, who recently got injured playing for his club. Slovenia round the group off.

Betting on the Three Lions to come first isn’t worth it due to the short odds. Instead, a better idea might be to add “Denmark to qualify” to a double or treble, as we expect them to show their consistency at this level once again.

Group C predictions final table:

  1. England
  2. Denmark
  3. Serbia
  4. Slovenia

Group D Predictions

On the face of it, Group D looks like a straightforward affair: France to come first, Netherlands to come second, and Austria and Poland to fight it out for third and fourth.

That’s largely how we see this one going, although the Netherlands will be disappointed by some of their results in qualifying. They lost 4-0 and 1-2 to France and were edged out 2-3 by Italy.

Still, we expect them to qualify. The only surprise that could happen is Netherlands leapfrogging France into the top spot if Poland and Lewandowski grind a result out against France and the Oranje manage to beat Les Bleu.

Group D predictions final table:

  1. France
  2. Netherlands
  3. Poland
  4. Austria

Group E Predictions

Belgium now moved beyond their “Golden Generation” and replaced Roberto Martinez with Domenico Tedesco, a 38-year-old who is one of the youngest current international managers.

They had a dire World Cup, where they didn’t even get out of their group, and will be looking to put things right in a group that includes playoff winners Ukraine, potential surprise package Romania and a solid-looking Slovakia side.

Few people may know little about Romania coming into the tournament, but we see them as the biggest threat to Belgium (as opposed to Ukraine). They beat Switzerland in the qualifying stages (and drew with them) and are our outsider tip to make it out of the group.

Group E predictions final table:

  1. Belgium
  2. Romania
  3. Ukraine
  4. Slovakia

Group F Predictions

The Portugal side that triumphed in 2016 has largely been broken up, although the record scorer for the national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, remains.

He’s no longer a regular starter, though, which demonstrates the firepower Portugal has. Now led by Roberto Martinez, they’re 8/1 to win the whole thing, and we think they’ll cruise this group ahead of Turkey, Czech Republic, and surprise qualifiers Georgia. They should win all 3 games.

Can Georgia cause any kind of upset? It’s unlikely, despite their excellent qualifying campaign and the brilliance of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Bet on Turkey to qualify and Georgia to come bottom.

Group F predictions final table:

  1. Portugal
  2. Turkey
  3. Czech Republic
  4. Georgia

Euro 2024 Picks: FAQs

Will England Win Euro 2024?

England hasn’t won a major tournament since 1966, but all the bookies agree they’re the big favourites for this one. Never mind reaching the semi-finals – the opinion is that if England doesn’t win the whole thing, their campaign will be viewed as a failure.

However, unless England have suddenly learned how to beat the biggest teams at a major tournament, the Three Lions may once again return home empty handed.

Who Will Win Euro 2024?

The smart money is on France at 7/2, even if many believe they’re coming to the end of their “cycle of success” that includes being runners up at the 2022 World Cup. If you have a threat like Kylian Mbappe, though, you can largely achieve anything.

Other than that, England are the short priced favourites, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal are the 8/1 dark horses to win Euro 2024.

What’s the Best Euro 2024 Bet?

The best Euro 2024 bet could either be Portugal to reach the semi finals or to even make it all the way to the final. “Italy to be eliminated at the group stage” is worth a look, while Harry Kane to claim the Golden Boot seems like a solid selection.

Euro 2024 – Betting Tips

We’ve run through some Euro 2024 predictions but now it’s time to share some betting tips that will stand you in good stead as you seek to make bank this summer.

Join Multiple Sports Betting Sites

There are plenty of legit Euro 2024 betting sites you can sign-up to, including Gxmble and MyStake. By signing up to different ones, you’ll be able to spend some time figuring out which ones are the right ones for you in terms of the available markets, offers, VIP programs and bet limits.

Claim the Welcome Bonus

Whichever European betting sites you join, make sure to claim the welcome bonus before you start betting. This is usually a matched deposit offer and these offers always come with minimum first deposits that need to be met if you want to claim the deal.

Research the Squads

Who plays upfront for the Netherlands? Who partners Kimmich in midfield for Germany? Does Italy have a goalscorer?

These are key questions to answer if you want to win a few bets during the tournament. The best way to answer them is to research the squads, which you can either do online or via a football magazine that covers Euro 2024 in-depth.

Bet on an Upset

Upsets always happen at the Euros (who can forget Iceland’s infamous victory over England in 2016?). If you’ve got a sharp eye, you’ll be able to spot an upset that yields huge gain.

Place a Few Accas

Even if you’ve got your eye on a few outright bets, or if you want to place a few singles bets, the Euro’s are perfect for a few acca’s.

This is especially true of the group stages when there are lots of matches to choose from, as well as every chance that you’ll be able pick 5-6 short odds favourites that all come good at the same time.

Ready to Bet On Your Euro 2024 Predictions?

Despite what the bookies say, England will need to figure out a way of beating the big teams if they’re to triumph in Germany. France are more attractively priced at 7/2, while backing Roberto Martinez’s Portugal at 8/1 could be worth a punt.

Gxmble is the top UK betting site for all your Euro 2024 needs, and you can sign up today and claim a €2,500 welcome bonus before you start placing your Euro 2024 bets.

Whatever you decide to do, remember to have fun and to always gamble responsibly.
