Kamala Harris responds to question on whether or Donald Trump is a ‘fascist’

Kamala Harris once again called out Donald Trump for becoming “increasingly deranged” as she held her first joint campaign rally with Barack Obama in Atlanta.

“Over the last eight years Donald Trump is more confused, more unstable and more angry. You see it every day, he has become increasingly unhinged,” she said.

The rally in Georgia on Thursday is the first of a series of get-out-the-vote events in key swing states. Harris was also joined by celebrities including Samuel L Jackson, Tyler Perry, Spike Lee, and Bruce Springsteen.

“Kamala Harris is running to be the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump is running to be an American tyrant,” Springsteen told crowds.

Tomorrow in Houston, Texas, superstar Beyoncé will lend her support to the campaign as the vice president focuses on the future of reproductive rights. Obama and Springsteen will also appear together again in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Trump, who is due to appear in Las Vegas on Thursday, is still facing fallout over a report alleging that he once said he needed “the kind of generals that Adolf Hitler had.”

Earlier, while speaking about immigration in Tempe, Arizona, the former president referred to the US as the “garbage can for the world.”

Trump comes up with new slur against US: ‘We’re the garbage can for the world’

During a campaign event in Arizona, Donald Trump once again echoed nativist tropes while talking about migrants to the US, the latest in a long string of rhetoric about immigrants and political opponents that’s been compared to fascist dictators.

“We’re a dumping ground. We’re like a garbage can for the world,” Trump said. “That’s what’s happened. We’re like a garbage can.”

Harris says Trump should ‘never again’ stand behind the seal of the President

Harris later turned her attacks towards her rival Donald Trump, telling crowds: “Over the last eight years Donald Trump is more confused, more unstable and more angry. You see it every day, he has become increasingly unhinged.”

She continued: “He’s calling Americans the enemy within, who says that he would use the military to go after them, and he who has called for the, quote, ‘termination of the Constitution of the United States.’

“Let us be very clear. Someone who suggests we should terminate the Constitution of the United States of America should never again stand behind the seal of the President of the United States of America. Never again.”
