The Nutcracker Christmas Shop on High Street was named alongside locations across the country, including spots in places like Cornwall, Cumbria and Shropshire.
Introducing the list, The Times newspaper said that with the festive season upon us, many will be looking to give their Christmas decor a refresh.
It added that the UK’s “finest” year-round Christmas shops have a lot on offer, selling everything from hand-painted baubles to novelty ornaments.
Edinburgh shop named one of the best Christmas stores in the UK
The Times newspaper said that with its Georgian buildings and “crowning” castle, the city of Edinburgh is a “worthy festive getaway all the way until early January”.
Discussing The Nutcracker Christmas Shop, the publication added that the store is known for “sourcing decorations from around the world.”

These include everything from tartan reindeer and glass angels to festive snow globes.
The High Street outlet was also praised for its “impressive array” of traditional nutcrackers.
After a long day of Christmas shopping, the newspaper recommended the Market Street Hotel just around the corner, where wooden shutters open to sweeping city views.
The Nutcracker Christmas Shop in Edinburgh was the only Scottish store named on the list, taking the seventh spot behind the likes of Tidings in Cornwall and Cotswolds Christmas Shop in Gloucestershire.
