Campari-owned Courvoisier Cognac is bringing the holiday spirit to the UK this winter with the 2024 Rouge Luxe Edition.
Exclusively available in the UK, the Cognac is said to boast a ‘complex aroma’ infused with notes of vanilla, dried fruit, spice, and sandalwood.
The limited edition was initially matured in French oak before continuing its ageing in Fontainebleau casks.
The bottle’s metallic red and gold-accented design pays homage to Courvoisier’s historical Cognaçaises bottles.
“Rouge Luxe bottle will bring a rich and warm glow, wrapped in red and gold, to any gathering this festive period,” said Thibaut Hontanx, chief blender at Maison Courvoisier. “Like all of our Cognacs, Rouge Luxe is a product of diligent craftsmanship, married with effortless modern design – a great gift for any cognac devotee for the holidays.”
Courvoisier Rouge Luxe will be available exclusively in the UK in Tesco stores and online from 17 September. The festive Cognac, offered at 40% ABV, retails for £42 (US$55).
The Cognac is recommended neat with a few squares of dark chocolate or a slice of Christmas pudding.
David Heathwood, commercial director at Campari Group UK, said: “We are thrilled that our exclusive Rouge Luxe partnership with Tesco continues for another year. Tesco and Courvoisier have demonstrated their joint commitment to grow the category in the UK, and I am sure that 2024 Rouge Luxe will elevate this festive season.”
Campari Group completed its billion-dollar acquisition of Courvoisier Cognac from Suntory Global Spirits in May 2024.
Earlier this year, the Cognac brand also released a limited edition bottle to celebrate Harrods’ 175th anniversary.
