Contract food services company Compass Group UK & Ireland has completed the acquisition of CH&CO, a UK and Ireland food services provider.
The deal, first announced in January 2024, has been concluded after it received regulatory approvals.

CH&CO’s portfolio of brands, which includes Gather & Gather, Vacherin and Company of Cooks, operates across workplace catering, events, venues, visitor attractions, stadiums, education, healthcare and hospitality.

The integration with the Compass Group is expected to provide increased supply chain security and accelerate innovation.
The deal will allow the businesses to capitalise on their mutual strengths including a passion for food, a client-centred approach, a people-focused culture and commitment to sustainability.
Bill Toner will continue as CH&CO’s CEO while CH&CO’s chief operating officer Allister Richards will join the Compass Group UK & Ireland’s executive team.
CH&CO’s senior management team will remain in place.
