Contract: Permanent, working 35 hours per week Salary: £32,974 per annum plus benefits Location: London

Job Description

To thrive in this London based Communication Officer role, you should have a good understanding of how media, including print, broadcast, online, and other emerging new media, operate. An informed awareness of the news agenda will also help the right candidate to be successful in this role.

Job Requirements

Essential requirements of this Communication Officer job will include:

  • Experience of working in a communication team or similar
  • Familiarity with the core principles of communication – including copywriting, editing, strategic planning, audience insight, messaging, reputation management, and evaluation
  • Significant on the job experience or a recognised professional qualification in one or more of the above core specialisms
  • Well-developed skills in planning, influencing, and conscious inclusive judgment
  • Experience of working with and interpreting complex data

You will also need to have basic project management skills and be comfortable working in matrix teams.

Job Responsibilities

Arts Council England is looking for a skilled and versatile Communications Officer to work in this role on a permanent basis.
