Traveller Whiskey, created by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Distillery, will launch in the UK this October.

As his All-American Road Show tour makes its way to the UK, so too does Stapleton’s Traveller Whiskey. Made in collaboration with Sazerac-owned Buffalo Trace, the blended American whiskey is bottled at 45% ABV and priced at £29 (US$39).

Traveller debuted in the US in January and went on to win Gold at The American Whiskey Masters 2024 blind-tasting competition. The expression hits the UK starting 1 October, as Stapleton’s tour visits cities across the nation and Ireland.

Stapleton was born in Lexington, Kentucky, just down the road from Buffalo Trace Distillery. He was introduced to EH Taylor during the recording sessions for his first studio album, Traveller, and now keeps a bottle on his bar. He calls working with Buffalo Trace and master distiller Harlan Wheatley a bucket list scenario and one that made total sense.

“Bottles from barrels that Harlen has cared for have been with us for every note we’ve ever recorded, backstage before shows and in all the moments we’ve celebrated along the way,” Stapleton said. “I believe what we’ve achieved with Traveller Whiskey not only represents our shared history but also a common artistic vision and uncompromising standards of taste. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve made.”

Traveller Whiskey shows notes of vanilla, aged fruit and buttery shortbread on the nose, with spice, toasted nut and oak on the palate.

It will also be available at Buffalo Trace’s recently opened Covent Garden store in London and on Amazon.
