Celebrities try to flee Norfolk in new series of hit TV show

The first episode was shown last night and opened with the group on board the Mid-Norfolk Railway travelling between Dereham and Wymondham. 

Loose Women’s Denise Welch then pulled the emergency stop alarm shortly after Yaxham station and the group dispersed into the surrounding countryside.

Welch is joined on the run with her husband Lincoln Townley, popstar Duncan James, model Christine McGuinness and Strictly Come Dancing stars Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington.

Podcasters David Whitely and Zeze Millz, soap stars Danielle Harold and Kimberly Hart-Simpson, and news anchors Simon McCoy and Lucrezia Millarini complete the line-up of fugitives.

Welch and Townley quickly managed to flag down a farmer, named Michael, who gave them a lift out of the county. 

Pernice and Widdrington ran the two miles back to Yaxham station where they used a phone to call their local friend Dylan Green.

He works at Norfolk Premier Golf near Norwich and picked them up in a van.

Harold and Hart-Simpson ran to a nearby stable and managed to escape in the back of a horse box.

McCoy and Millarini got a lift to King’s Lynn, where a friend picked them up and drove them to Leeds. 

The Mid-Norfolk Railway announced its involvement on its social media channels. 

The post read: “It was an honour to play a small part in supporting such an important cause. Our railway served as the backdrop for some of the action. 

“We hope you enjoyed the first episode as much as we did and we look forward to seeing how the adventure unfolds in the coming weeks.” 

The first episode of Celebrity Hunted can be streamed on Channel 4 On Demand.
