Specscart brings together a high street retail offering of three bricks and mortar shops across Greater Manchester with innovative e-commerce which sees the affordable glasses they make in-house at their Bury headquarters, delivered in 24 hours.

The 2024 WIRED Trailblazer honour comes from the business consulting division of technology magazine WIRED in collaboration with HSBC UK.

Sid said: “Recognition like this has a huge positive impact on me and everyone at Specscart.

“It puts fuel in our tank so we can grow faster, innovate more and get better every single day.

“All the WIRED Trailblazers are pushing boundaries and that is what Specscart is all about.

“We are not on a mission to disrupt the UK eyewear industry – we’re going to completely blow it up – one pair of spectacles at a time.”

He joined 14 other business leaders for a morning of networking, inspiration and knowledge sharing.

Specscart is one of only 75 UK businesses hand-picked for the 2024 WIRED Trailblazer programme, all of which are pioneering products and services that create benefits for people, communities, and the planet.

This accolade comes soon after Sid was named on the Forbes 30 under 30 Europe list and Specscart being named in the Sunday Times “Ones to Watch” list of fast-growing UK businesses for 2024.
