The makers of Antony Varghese Pepe‘s upcoming film Kondal, which hit theatres on September 13 as an Onam release, took to their social media on September 23, Monday, to announce that the mid-sea action revenge film would be having a wide theatrical release in the UK, according to its makers.

An action-packed revenge drama set against a coastal backdrop, the film is directed by debutant director Ajit Mampally. Starring alongside Antony in a prominent role is Kannada actor-filmmaker Raj B Shetty, who previously portrayed the antagonist opposite Mammootty in Turbo. The film hit theatres to mostly positive reviews.

Ajit Mampally has directed the upcoming film based on a screenplay that he wrote with Roylin Robert and Satheesh Thonnakkal. According to the makers of the film, Kondal is an action-packed film set within a seaside community. The cast of the upcoming film also includes Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty, Shabeer Kallarakkal of Sarpatta Parambarai fame, Nandu, Manikanda Rajan, Pramod Veliyanad, Prathibha, Gauthami Nair, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj, and Rahul Rajagopal.

On the technical front, the film includes Deepak D Menon for cinematography, Sreejith Sarang for editing, Arun Krishna for art direction, and Sam CS himself for the background score. Sophia Paul produced the film under her banner Weekend Blockbusters, which also backed the Antony Varghese, Shane Nigam, and Neeraj Madhav starrer RDX.
