Amadeus is adding enhanced UK rail content to its Cytric booking platform through a new partnership with specialist Trainline.

The deal will allow business travellers to book rail journeys across the UK through the integration of Trainline’s global API into Cytric.

Initially they will be able to book electronic train tickets through the booking portal, while future upgrades of Cytric are set to offer refunds and cancellations, as well as split-ticketing functionality.

Andrew Cruttenden, general manager of Trainline Partner Solutions, said: “As we integrate our offering with Cytric, corporate travellers will have enhanced access to our extensive network of routes and destinations across the UK – helping to make the sustainable travel option of rail a more attractive choice.”

Jorge Perez Alvarez, director of partner development at Amadeus, added that the partnership with Trainline would “elevate rail travel experiences for users everywhere”.

“This enhancement marks a significant step forward in our ambition to provide seamless and efficient access to a diverse range of rail carriers,” said Alvarez.
