INFINITY Partnership has been shortlisted four times at the UK’s most prestigious accountancy awards.

The Aberdeen firm has been named a finalist at the 2024 Accounting Excellence Awards in the Mid-Tier Firm of the Year (above £3m); Client Service Award (Medium & Large Firms) and Client Transformation Award categories.

In addition, Infinity managing partner Simon Cowie has been shortlisted in the Practice Leader of the Year Award, meaning he is going for a hat-trick of wins at the London ceremony later this year. Simon won this award last year and, in 2022, was named Practice Pioneer at this event.

Now in its 19th year, the Accounting Excellence Awards celebrates the most ambitious firms, teams and individuals who have made outstanding contributions, pushed innovation to new heights and demonstrated excellence in their work.

This year’s Accounting Excellence Awards is bigger than ever – surpassing last year’s record-breaking year of entries. The winners of the awards will be crowned in a glitzy awards ceremony on Tuesday, October 8, at London’s iconic Roundhouse in Camden.

Simon said: “We are honoured to be shortlisted in four categories, which reflects the exceptional service we provide across accountancy, tax,  business advice and other services that all go towards making a tangible difference to our clients.

“This recognition is a testament to our team’s collective efforts, and I am pleased that our hard work has been acknowledged. Additionally, I’m delighted to be nominated once again for a prestigious individual award. This recognition underlines the continued success at Infinity, and we are look forward to the awards night.”

Simon is a two-time winner of the Scottish Dealmaker of the Year title and has completed more than 250 M&A (merger & acquisitions) and investment deals. As a practice, Infinity is a five-time winner at the British Accountancy Awards. The firm has won more than 30 awards in total, including successes at awards ceremonies held by leading accountancy software brands Iris and Sage.

Earlier this year, Infinity was named Boutique Accounting Firm of the Year at the inaugural Scottish Professional Awards 2024 in Glasgow.

Infinity, which has a UK-wide and internationalclient base – including companies in the energy sector, is recognised for its accountancy, research and development tax relief, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance expertise. The firm, which is based at Carden Place, has team of 30.

The Accounting Excellence Awards are judged by some of the most respected names in the profession. The judging line-up this year featured past presidents of the ICAEW, CIOT and ATT and senior leaders from AAT, ACCA, AIA, ICAS and ICB.

Accounting Excellence is proud to be supported by headline sponsor Intuit QuickBooks, alongside category sponsors Bright, Employment Hero, GI Outsourcing, iplicit, IRIS, Mercia, MoneyPenny, PracticeWeb, Sage, Silverfin, TaxCalc, Wolters Kluwer, QX Accounting Services, Xero and Xledger.
