Cheltenham-based business and executive coach, Neil Martin, has been appointed to the senior leadership team of one of the UK’s biggest business training franchises, ActionCOACH UK.

Neil, who first joined the franchise group as a senior business coach at ActionCOACH Cheltenham in 2022, takes on the role of director of content strategy and edutainment for the UK group, this December 2024.

In his new role, Neil will combine his existing responsibilities as a business and executive coach, delivering tailored strategies for business leaders and executives, with the development of fun and entertaining content for learning programmes for the entire ActionCOACH UK network.

With more than 20 years of experience as a successful sales manager and director in the business software solutions field, Neil has transitioned into business coaching and training over the past decade, winning multiple awards as a business performance speaker and content creator.

After joining ActionCOACH Cheltenham, he consistently ranked as a top 25 business coach for ActionCOACH globally, for his work empowering business leaders to unlock their potential and maximise growth.

Earlier this year, Neil took on a new role with the UK group as head of coach success, helping to mentor and support coaches across the network, as well as creating engaging edutainment content to help make ActionCOACH’s business learning accessible and enjoyable to a wide audience.

His new role will see Neil take those responsibilities further, through developing content strategies to support the recruitment of franchise partners; leading the delivery of group programmes of training and mentoring for coaches; and designing and testing innovative campaigns to drive lead generation.

After taking on the role, Neil posted to LinkedIn: ‘Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey so far, I’m excited about this next chapter and the opportunities ahead to make a lasting impact.

‘Both business and personal development should be fun. Here’s to more businesses embracing the power of edutainment and remembering that every business benefits from a touch of show-business.’
